Rick helps organizations refine their people strategies by acquiring, building, and growing talent through programs that enhance employee engagement while building great leaders and great places to work.  

Rick is an energetic and enthusiastic professional that uses a true-to-life approach to the subjects of Leadership, Management, Human Resources, and Career Planning.  His method includes a spirited and positive approach in helping leaders and organizations better understand people at work.  By presenting best-practice, empirical research, and case study methods, Rick has the ability to engage and retain groups at every level in pursuit of better productivity and profitability.  

Rick’s credentials include the designation of Senior Professional in Human Resources issued by the Society for Human Resources Management and Senior Certified Professional issued by the Society for Human Resources Management, and Certified Personnel Consultant issued by the National Association of Personnel Services.  He holds a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management and a Master’s Degree in Business and has completed doctoral studies in organizational leadership.    

Rick’s community involvement includes being a member of the board of the Suncoast Workforce Board and Sarasota-Manatee Human Resources Association and chairs committees that promote HR certification and career development within the Human Resources field.  In 2010 he published the book, “Your Career 101: A Guide to Managing Your Career”, which has been adopted by the University of South Florida Career Office.  Rick was awarded “HR Professional of the Year” by the Sarasota-Manatee Human Resources Association and nominated as “HR Volunteer of the Year” by HR Florida.

Rick is an avid cavern diver, bonsai artist, ponder and cook.  He’s been married and has been a big fan of his wife Sue for almost twenty years and is the father of two daughters.
